Racing Together announces New Sponsors & 2026 Programme
Australia’s Indigenous race team, Racing Together has announced an
extended programme and new sponsors for its 2026 season.
The main focus of 2026 will be the team’s participation in the Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup and
the Toyota Gazoo Racing Scholarship Series.
17-year-old Indigenous driver, Kade Davey, will contest the GR Cup, alongside his 18-year-old
teammate Karlai Warner, who will contest the Scholarship Series. In addition to these main
drives, the team will fund two Hyundai Excels in the support races for the Supercars Indigenous
Round in Darwin in June, plus other Excel Events in Queensland.
The Townsville chapter of the team will compete in sprints at the newly-constructed DriveIt NQ
Circuit near the North Queensland city.
Racing Together welcomes a new sponsor in 2026 in Mass The Safe Access People, a
Queensland company specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure.
Mass joins existing sponsors Weet-Bix, Supercheap Auto, Carey Mining, National Storage,
Toyota Australia, Norwell Motorplex, Riedel Communications, Motorsport Australia, OMP, Dick
Johnson Racing and Triple Eight Race Engineering.
Mass Products Managing Director Paul Hazaam said “Our company has a strong commitment to
furthering the cause of our First Nations people, and Racing Together gives us another strong
platform to demonstrate that commitment”.
About Kade Davey:
Aged 17, Kade is proud of his Martu and Manyjilyjarra First Nations
heritage. He started racing dirt karts at eight years old, then transitioned to bitumen kart racing
and won the 2023 Western Australian Karting Championship. He moved to Queensland in late
2023 to join the Racing Together Program where he raced Excels, Toyota 86 Scholarship Series
and GR Cup in 2025. He was awarded the prestigious Toyota Kaizen Award at the conclusion of
the 2025 season,
About Karlai Warner:
Aged 19, Karlai is a proud Kabi Kabi and Wakka Wakka woman
who joined Racing Together at the age of 14, having never sat behind the wheel of a car. She
has had a very successful career to date, racing Excels and a Suzuki Swift, with a number of
podiums and will compete in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Scholarship Series in 2026.
